Tuesday

Last Tuesday morning it was 6 degrees. This morning it was 60. Ohio weather is very schizophrenic.

We went to class and I don't have much to say. I did alright but wasn't on fire like last week. We did some weave-entry drills and some sequences with special timing of front crosses.

The news of the day is this:

Mom and I went on our usual morning walk in our neighborhood. We were a couple streets over from our house, walking on the sidewalk when we look across the street and see a COYOTE lying in these people's front yard. Dead. But looking like it just fell asleep in the middle of the grass. Now you know, we live in a Columbus city neighborhood with lots of houses and sidewalks, etc. Very out of the ordinary.

Poor coyote. But what the heck do you do with a dead coyote in your yard?

Gotta zoom!

Ricky

We're getting that warm weather tomorrow. Hard to believe.

I know there are coyotes around here, but I've never seen one - alive or dead. I think there are people you can call to remove dead wildlife. In fact, I know people around here who would probably cook it up for dinner!

It's ok if Ricky isn't "on fire" every week. Every dog does agility differently, and there is nothing wrong with that. The important part is spending time together.

I know--the weather is so odd!

That is scary about the coyote. I've heard more people mention sightings this year than last.

Wow, I wonder if the poor guy was poisoned or ate rodents that were poisoned, which would be scary, unless maybe it got hit with a car and was just able to get to the people's yard, not good for the coyote for sure. We have them around here but I've sure not seen dead ones. I used to live in New Mexico and when I was out riding you would see poisoned ones or horrific ones in spring traps because ranchers would kill them, I think there was a bounty, but I always felt so sad for those guys, ESP the ones that would know off limbs to get out of traps, :-(
Did Ricky have a good time even if he didnt seem on fire?

Awww...that's sad. Hopefully there weren't any little kids (or dogs) at that house!

Hope Ricky had fun anyway, just being out and about and with his Mom!

We're having schizophrenic weather too. It's crazy!

That's sad about the coyote. We saw one (alive) in my neighborhood once and I called fish and wildlife. They said there are coyotes in every single county in the state (NJ) and trust me, some counties are NOT where you'd ever expect a coyote!!

Mommy wouldn't know what to do if she saw a coyote on the lawn dead or alive!!!

Mommy had a hard enough time with removing a dead snake once -- lets not get into that story!!!

We see coyotes occasionally, but people hate them around here, and shoot them. Drives me crazy. As long as they aren't hurting their livestock I say leave them alone.

Sorry you weren't on fire at agility, but I do hope you still had fun!
