Here is the view from our campsite! There is a path on the left side down to the water and it is the perfect kayak launch spot.

After our paddle we went to a little beach so that I could practice my swimming and run around a little.

We had beautiful weather and this morning the sun came up over the lake and it was chilly - temps in the 50s.

After breakfast, we packed everything up and stopped at the big beach. Dogs aren't technically allowed, but there was no one around!

Our one night of camping was very fun but very tiring! I kept thinking, "When are we getting in the car and going home?" Mom and I didn't sleep very well in the tent. There was a full moon and we kept hearing noises - probably raccoons. I didn't bark at all but I was very restless. Needless to say, I will sleep well tonight! Camping is tough work!

You guys are brave. I dont think I would like camping. That looks like a great place to camp. Was that Delaware state park? If it was, Im so sad I didnt go there when I was up that way. I was just to tired.
I cant beleive Ricky likes the water. My next sheltie is going to be introduced to the water much sooner. LOL Diana
Ricky, You are a very determined swimmer! Maybe you should take up dock diving!
Your campsite looks so peaceful and quiet. I'd love camping in a spot like that, especially if I could bring my own bed with me! LOL.
OH my gosh, look at Ricky goooooo!!! I love seeing him swimming. The campsite looks wonderful, that sounds like soo much fun!

Oh How nice!! We would love to take Ace camping this summer! I don't sleep well at all in a tent, I wonder how Ace will do!

oh Ricky, I promise if you camp a bit more often you'll get used to those funny sounds...and maybe don't go camping during a full moon! LOL!
Your swimming made me giggle, you are so DETERMINED! You expend quite a bit of energy with that swimming thing, but you got to the shore and that's the main thing!

What a beautiful trip!! I would absolutely LOVE it there, and I bet Layla would too.
I haven't taken Layla camping yet. I wonder how she'll like the noises.
She's not crazy about swimming, either. She'll do it, but it's not her favorite thing.
Before we go camping (no dates planned yet, but we definitely would like to) I'd love to hear some advice for her, since I've never gone camping with a dog before. I'll let you know before we go!
