Things are better

So it was 9:00AM the last time I threw up and we are knocking on wood and hoping that I won't throw up again! I have had some water and a couple very small meals of rice and boiled chicken. I am soooooo hungry though and wish I could eat the entire chicken at once! Mom says I am getting another small serving at 6:00 and then before bed.

We didn't end up going in to the vet's office but we talked to her on the phone about 8 times today (she wasn't actually in the office today). We had an appointment to see another vet but since my stomach finally calmed down, we didn't have to go. Our vet was so nice to talk to us all day long.....

Mom does wish, however, that we had a vet who specializes in Shelties (is there such a thing?) because then he/she would have more insight into our special needs - which appear to be plentiful!!!

Guess each time something like this happens we learn new things about what to do and what not to do......I'll never try taking another aspirin, that's for sure!

Maybe zooming again tomorrow?

Ricky

Sleep well, little buddy. No vomiting, okay? May'be your Mom will allow you a little more food tomorrow.

Maybe no zoomies tomorrow either....we think another day of rest would be most helpful. Do hope you are feeling better soon though

If you have a local sheltie resuce they might have the name of a "sheltie vet." You never know. I hope you are feeling better tonight and tomorrow, but I'd be careful of the zoomies, remember the foot that started all this!

Oh no! I'm sorry you weren't feeling well, that's awful! My sister Lucy throws up all the time but she's got megaesophagus and that's why. So she has to eat runny food sitting up. Her food is so yummy I try to lick it!

Hope you're feeling better! Yep I agree, I'd love to have a sheltie vet, or a vet for every breed, that'd be great! :)

oh, no not aspirin! We learned that the hard way too, when I got attacked by those dogs. Mum has to rush and get something because the vet said to give so much and it ended up being an overdose. Now I can't take any prescription pain meds, just Traumeel - because I have such a sensitive tummy. Don't let you're Mum beat herself up - she was just trying to do the right thing that a professional told her to do.
