Awesome weather!

We have had great weather the past few days (all ending tomorrow with rain and cold)! Mom didn't have to work and we spent lots of time outside. We went twice to the ravine in my favorite park because the wildflowers are starting to bloom down there. Mom is a nut for wildflowers especially in the Spring.

I had to pose again and again. Here I am sitting in lesser celandine. It is so pretty and is just every where!

Miley always poses on tree logs so mom made me do it too! :)

Virginia bluebells are just now starting to bloom - I am sure we will go back in a few days to see them when they really come out!

Lots of dogs walk in the ravine - an entire pack descended on me. Mom didn't save me - she just took pictures. Thanks mom!

More of me and the yellow flowers.

Besides the park, we have been hanging out on our patio a lot. The bullfrog we had in our pond last fall made it through the winter. But we didn't see him yesterday or today and wonder if he hopped away in search of another bullfrog.

We have done a little fun and fast agility - basically speed circles. Just having a good time!

I am working on my retrieve and my tricks while holding stuff in my mouth. Also I am still working on my signals exercise. Mom has been reading about treibball (ball herding) and found a Yahoo Group about it and there are 6 lessons on how to get started. Lots of stuff I already know so mom is going to get me a ball and see how it goes. I would prefer that we get some sheep but mom says No!

Gotta zoom!

Everything looks so PRETTY! I hope the nice weather lasts and lasts.

Ricky, you are such a good poser!

Treiball seems fun, and is certainly the up and coming dog sport!

I love the pictures!

I'm jealous of the nice weather. We haven't had super nice weather since last week; we had one day over 70 degrees.

I've heard of Treiiball but don't know much about it.

I'm still waiting for someone to "fix" aka break my suitcase to get Layla working on the suitcase trick. Also need to figure out how to stage that game to see if the dogs listen to your commands behind a closed door, when they can't see you.

The flowers were beautiful :)

That looks like such a wonderful place for a walkies - but gosh weren't you scared when all those dogs surrounded you - I would of crawled inside a tree log and hid !

Maybe your Mom could do some checking and see if there are any herding schools around you. They seem to becoming quite popular - trust me on this one Ricky - FAKE sheep just don't work no matter how real looking they are :)

The treiball looks interesting I had got on the yahoo list and reading stuff when there were some people talking about it on dogread. It seems like it would be a lot of fun. Bet Ricky would be fantastic!

Sounds like you had a great time.

Were all of those dogs with just that one person? Yikes!

We got stuck in a hail storm at the Short North today. BOO! :(

Wow, Ricky, that does look like the most beautiful day!! Love the sun on your glossy coat! And of course, you're such a good doggie model...

Oh! We've heard of that 'ball-herding' thing and saw a video about it on YouTube - it looks interesting! Am looking forward to seeing you work on it!

And OF COURSE on your dance routine too!!! :-) I really can't wait to see what you come up with! (And did you see Hsin-Yi's email about costumes not being compulsory - although it would be nice if there was some kind of token gesture just so that you & your human look coordinated/like a team! :-)

Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
