But we did do a little triple practice today. Mom taped some of my jump bars with red stripes and then fashioned a triple jump out of three of my regular jumps. When I first tried it, I did hesitate a little and I jumped it close to the right side posts. I gained confidence and was soon sailing over it (although I do take off pretty early). No knocked bars. Here are a few of my tries (there were two single jumps before the triple but they are not in the video):
Mom is planning to make the jump look different every day so that maybe I will get used to weird looking jumps.
A couple weeks ago we made this little video loosely based on our friend Dare's forward sends - mom just wanted to see if I would keep going to the jump as she moved farther back. I am slow but I get the job done! :)
Gotta zoom!

I think making your own triple at home was a great idea! Ricky looked like he was having no problems at all.
My first sheltie used to have such a hard time jumping the one step to our deck. He would stutter step FOREVER, then finally get the courage to take the leap. I wonder if he had some weird syndrome, or if he was plain weird.
Wow, he flew over that triple. He looked great! Diana
I think he looks great and he really understands those forward sends, that is fantastic.
Looking great, Ricky!!!
I can see how confident he is.
You must be so proud of him today!
go ricky!!!!!!!!!

Oh Ricky, you make me chuckle! You went so FAST over those triples, and then when Mom is further away, it's like "Well OK Mom, I'll go jump this wimpy little single jump. I guess. Yep I'll mosey over here and jump it if you want me to...yep yep yep......"
Ricky,
I thought you looked really good on the triple. I understand your mom's worries though. I think it's hard to not overanalyze everything when you're trying to work through something.
I must be missing something because I don't see where he is doing anything different.
Ah Ricky, you always look great doing agility to me. I love how much you want to be near your Mom and I can so see you has such a special bond. I dunno if you has the ETS thingy or not, but I know you and Mom will work through it together.
I pretty sad I doesn't do agility anymore at the moment, but we is working on finding a class that Mum will like.

You look like you are doing pawsome to me little buddy. One thing your mom might want to try is to space your jumps out a bit more and then gradually each day bring them back closer together.
Ricky you look great!
