tRicky T-Day!
Ok, this may look easy but for me it was not! It didn't take all that long for me to learn backwards circle in the one direction (starting from mom's right side) but the opposite direction was really difficult. So enjoy my short but very tricky t-Ricky T-Day video!
Ok, so how did you teach this one? It's great! Going one way is always harder than the other it seems. Really impressive that you're going both directions so well.
Marie - we saw a YouTube video about a year ago about how to teach this and then made a video of me going in one direction that shows the trick to how it's done -
But I didn't get the other direction right away and mom has been too lazy until recently to teach me from the other side (same type of method). I got it quickly once she showed me what she wanted.
We get almost all of our ideas from YouTube - there are such creative people out there (we are copycats)!
That's a really cool trick. I think going in reverse seems simple to humans, but to dogs it is a whole different concept. You have to start from scratch.
Thanks Ricky! I'm a copy cat too. Seem to be fine with varying people ideas, but I have a hard time coming up with them all on my own. Thanks for the link! I love Youtube. Another huge time sucker for me. LOL
Oh my goodness, Ricky - who on earth said that looks easy??!! You were brilliant - am so impressed!
My human would love to teach me this trick but she thinks it might be just a bit too difficult for me coz I'm such a long, big dog and walking backwards in a straight line is hard enough!! :-)
THAT IS SO AWESOME!! You guys ROCK! I keep trying to get started to teach that but for some reason it never takes off, I think I have tried it when I just wanted to do a little something quick and easy and that does not seem to be one of those tricks. Then I think well...I will come back to it later and I never do, humm, maybe I will have to get working on it again seeing how awesome Ricky looks doing it. I am really impressed whoo hoooo!
That was spectacular! Mom never teaches me that stuff, seems like lately we are too busy getting Maisie to "use her inside voice". especially when we are inside. BOL. your pal, Morgan
My name is Ricky (Covewind Little Ricky, AX,AXJ,CGC) and I am a six year old tri-color Shetland Sheepdog. I do agility and I like to learn tricks too! This blog is about all that and some other stuff as well!
