Obstinate

Yesterday mom and I went to visit grandma and grandpa! It was fun but I had to perform while I was there - you know, once people think you are smart and clever, they never stop demanding to see your new tricks and such. Well some times a dog has to put his paw down:

Today was sunny but still very cold. Mom took me outside after lunch and we did some dogwalks and went out around cones and did the weaves a few times for fun (the ground was rock hard so no jumping). While we were out there, we heard this noise and I barked and mom looked up and there was a flock of about 50 sandhill cranes flying over our house! Wow! Mom started jumping up and down and yelling and pointing at the sky! I thought she was having some sort of fit - I mean they're just some birds after all! But she was really excited because she had never seen a sandhill crane in her life and to have them fly right over our house - and they were calling and making such a racket. (Here's a link to what they sound like). Mom thought it was just so cool!

Gotta zoom!

I don't think I've ever heard you bark Ricky! At least not that much :) Silly boy.

I think you were saying, "Why don't YOU roll over mom? Then, still give ME the treat!"

my dogs are with Ricky, once in awhile you have to hold out on the tricks so no one starts to take them for granted. He is a very smart sheltie! The barking is adorable ;-).

You are SOOOOO funny Ricky! A guy's got to control what a guy can control...right? And how smart to do it in front of witnesses!

Katie and I are very glad your Mom got to see the Sandhill Cranes! We were going to tell you to tell her to come up for a visit this summer and we'd go find some. Don't they make the coolest sound when they fly! They are amazing birds and We're very very happy you got to see them. You can still come visit though!

BOL!! Performing on command, so tough :) Hey Ricky, notice your starting to bark at your Mum when she wants you to do tricks, love it!! Shows lots of enthusiasm :) And those cranes so cool, good herding material - they make a pawsome sound!
