The Proof!

Sorry, no tRicky T-Day video today! We are working hard on a few new tricks, but they are still not ready for primetime!

However, we went to our agility class last night and our instructor was nice enough to video us! Only two dogs showed up for the class - not sure where everyone was. It was ok with me though - we got to run the course twice and also practice hard parts of it. I'll let the video speak for itself:

This weekend is the AKC Invitationals out in Long Beach, CA. Once again this year my favorite trainer Deb and her Russell Terrier Bug are competing in agility and my grandma Catherine Zinsky and her Border Collie Kyle are competing in obedience (hoping to top their fourth place finish from last year). We wish them and all the other competitors the best!

I am busy working on my holiday video - it was going well until mom screwed up and deleted part of it! I am hoping to have it done in the next week so stay tuned!

Gotta zoom!

GO RICKY! You get faster the further you go don't you! Are you having fun? You sure like that dogwalk! Happy Holidays little buddy!

I dont know if you noticed or not but when you increased your speed starting at the dogwalk, he increased his speed. You may have already tried this but what happens if you dont wait for him. Dont let him set the pace. If you run as fast as you can, what happens?

You ran the course great and Ricky picked up all you cues. Good job.

Thanks for the tip on the Clean Run article. Im going to try that bumper at the bottom of the A-frame. Diana

Well done Ricky! You certainly pick up the speed on the DW. Ditto to what Diana said.

Looks like you had a great class, and only two people, that is very cool. Ricky is sure a gorgeous dog, I love watching him work. I get to go to the invitationals this weekend to watch-I would not miss it since it is the last year they will be in this part of the country-so I will look for Bug and Kyle to cheer for them ;-)

Diana - you didn't hurt our feelings at all - sorry I haven't responded yet to your first comment! We have tried having mom run ahead of me and a long time ago it kind of worked and then it stopped working. She does try to run faster than me to get me going. We still haven't figured out why I am slow and then speed up. It was weird how fast I got as she rear crossed me and yelled Walk it! But I think I was a little faster starting out than I normally am so maybe with time it will happen!

You don't ever have to worry about what you say or about leaving advice or anything! We love comments and advice and consider you as a great blogging friend and resource!

Great job Ricky! You looked really good. Just like everyone else has already mentioned, you really seemed to pick up speed at the dogwalk. It doesn't seem like all that long ago that the dogwalk was not your favorite obstacle. Nice to see all your hard work paying off! :-)
