I am now doing this trick with smaller bowls but we don't have it on video yet.

Whether you are doing it on purpose or not, you have pretty good aim! Love the way you wing it in the air first. Adorable!
Wow,if he isnt trying he sure has a lot of lucky shots! LOL. I do think Ricky thinks the trick is dropping the bowel. Sometimes it goes in and sometimes it doesnt. What would happen if you put the bowels further away from you? That may give you a better idea of what is going on. Its very cute. Ricky should play basketball.
I do wish I could have that kind of lucks though, Ricky!

Well at first I thought it was luck, until he, on his own, picked it back up when it missed and put it in, almost right away without any instruction from you.
I think Ricky needs to enter one of those "win a million if you get the basketball in the hoop shots" His aim might not be deliberate - bit he gets it in nearly every time - way to go little dude!
Your mom could check by placing the bigger bowl a little further away or by her side. If you'll still try to throw the bowl into her lap, it's probably luck, and if you can still do the trick, you've defenitely mastered it:) But for me, that's never an issue, I click and reward even if they're just lucky, they learn by repetition anyway :) Nice video BTW!
I think maybe Diana is right--he seems to know the picking it up and dropping it part.
I'd try putting the big bowl off to the side to see if he still drops it in your lap or not.
Just curious, but how did you even teach him to pick up the bowls? Neither of mine would even get that far!

Wow! I think you totally knew what you were doing! I think the times when you "missed" -- it was just the earth's gravitational pull or something making the little bowl miss the target! You are so smart Ricky!
Of course you get it! You is just multi tasking by looking like you is just getting it lucky. Did you see Kyra Sundance is teaching putting coins in a piggy, you can do that one next.
