For fun
Since I haven't been going to classes or trials, all my agility this summer has been in the backyard for FUN! I have learned some obstacle focus so now when mom is actually running with me and tries to indicate the jump she wants with her motion, I sometimes veer off and take jumps on my own. Catastrophic if you are working to be on the World Team but awesome if you are just having fun and creating joy and independence! :)
For Fun is the perfect description for that video! Ricky is full of joy and enthusiasm. Not to mention, his incredible ability to do it all independently.
That was awesome! Loved that video. :-) Pretty much all our agility has been at home for fun this year too. Nothing wrong with that though I guess. As long as we're having fun.
Hi Ricky! We were sent your direction; we are totally new to the agility thing, and sadly, don't actually have a place to practice, so Mom is going to try to set something up in our yard. I think we're going to watch your videos for tips! (Well, maybe not going at it solo, but a lot of your other videos! Heehee!)
We are dealing with that love of obstacle and independance stuff, and after Cricket had started agility running with her head back wards and with little obstacle focus, I figure it is not a bad thing to swing a little far to the other side, bet Cricket and Ricky will swing more into the middle and be all the better for it, all seems part of the process. Actually it is cool seeing it-they look very happy and motivated, it will all work out beautifully, but then I can tell you know that already ;-)
My name is Ricky (Covewind Little Ricky, AX,AXJ,CGC) and I am a six year old tri-color Shetland Sheepdog. I do agility and I like to learn tricks too! This blog is about all that and some other stuff as well!

Good boy, Ricky! I'm so amazed at your ability to work independently! Your mum must be so proud of you--I would be. :)

Look how fast you are!! And you do it all without your Mom being right by your side! That is amazing!

Holy Moly! that is distance work at it's finest! that's my moms goal - to never have to actually run herself!. BOL! Way to go Ricky!

Good job! Mommy made me a ghetto jump out of some pvc pipe -- but I just look at her like she is crazy when she expects me to jump over it.
Wow, look at you go! Sometimes a break away from things does one good. :)
NADAC is a lot of fun! Come join the party!
