When it stopped raining

On Wednesday it finally stopped raining and we got out of the house! We spent the morning doing some much needed gardening, then we did a little tunnel/dogwalk discrimination, and after lunch we went to my favorite park.

Then yesterday mom surprised me by telling me that we were going to go to grandma and grandpa's! We hadn't been there since Easter! We had such a good time!

Grandpa's lawn is so lush and green!

Lots of things are growing in the garden - asparagus, rhubarb, onions, carrots, red beets, potatoes, sweet potatoes, peas - the green beans and limas are in the ground - and grandpa was planting zucchini, butternut, cucumber, and tomatoes yesterday. I had my first taste of asparagus and let me tell you, it was delicious! I love my vegetables!

Two years ago it was corn, last year, soy beans, and this year, winter wheat in the field behind the house. You can see the heads of wheat have already formed.

Even wheat is taller than me!

It was a really fun day of running and playing outside and of visiting with my grandparents! Today the weather is still nice and I'm sure we will be out there making the most of it!

Gotta zoom!

What a great treat Ricky! And you got ASPARAGUS too? Can't beat that! Katie and I went to the park and ran into one of her agility friends there. That was fun, but your day sounds more like an ADVENTURE!

Grandparents are the best because they spoil us so much.

I can see why you would love to go there, it looks like it would be such a medatative, relaxing, gorgeous place and what a great way to get in touch with nature with the gardens. Wheat, how cool is that? I have a wheat grinder so I thought I was hot stuff grinding my own flour, but Ricky you guys can grow your own wheat for flour!!! I admire that!

What a beautiful yard. I wish I had a lawn that big and flat!

Misty LOVES asparagus, especially when it is raw. Oreo refuses to eat any green vegetable!

I hope you have a fun day today too! We'll be out in thhe garden.

Well, my grandparents just get to admire the wheat field - it belongs to a farmer who harvests whatever vegetable he plants there.

Yes, they have the perfect yard for agility except it is not fenced in. I often tell grandpa we should hold trials there!

Marge went to Gramma's today, too. Wow! What a yard they have. Looks like you had an awesome time. Must have been lots of room to run!
