I have noticed watching agility on TV that many of the moms hold things in their hands to get their pups "ready" and they drop it as soon as as they start running....so what ever you were so focused on, maybe your mom could use that at agility practice. You would only have to use it a few time.....as I am sure you are way smart enough to figure out you need to be "READY" to go and after awhile you wouldn't need the thing to focus on. Wonder what it was you were looking at......tennis ball maybe ?

Have you tried using the ball in class? Get him really excietd with the ball, take off running and if you get him charging after the first jump, throw the ball. It may not work depending how worried he is at the start. Some dogs just worry at the start. Just dont do a lead out. Hope it gets better. Diana

Oh, my Mommy wishes I am like that too during the starting line. What my Mommy usually does to make me very excited is to bark on command. My eyes become diluted like when a shark tastes blood ya know? I get so charged up by then. Then Mommy makes me do the 'Flip' trick & makes me sit between her legs. And then only she asks me to stay & then walks off. By then time I can't wait to go already!!! Try that.

Oh, are you gonna take the ball to class? Remember my vid with my blue squeaky ball and how fast it makes me? After my little sequence, Mum throws it just like I like her to. Oh, oh, now I'm all excited!!!!!

Don't feel bad Ricky, Oreo insists on looking BEHIND him at the start line! He has to keep an eye on everyone else. I don't know how he keeps from getting a neck cramp.
