Trick of the Week!

Boy, I don't know why we haven't been blogging! Any way, we finally got a quick video of my newest trick. Got the idea from Honey the Papillon - she is an amazing trick dog and a friend of ours on YouTube. Hope you enjoy it - don't blink or you'll miss it!

The timing is pretty tricky! I have done it quite a few times but it was hard to get the proof on video.

Our friend Honey has a great tutorial on how she learned to do this trick with a nose touch. But I am all about picking stuff up now so that was more natural for me. Mom helped me to get lined up with my front feet in the hoop. Then she pointed to the hoop and told me to get it. Then after I had a hold of the hoop I naturally wanted to back up - from the opening the door trick - so then it was a matter of me backing up enough and holding long enough for the hoop to stay up while I went through. I guess if you know take it, hold it, back up, and go through, it is relatively easy to put the steps together. Give it a try!

Gotta zoom!

Sara - Jeff must have some stuff around the house that you could use to make a hoop! Mine was the lid of a kid's tunnel - I cut out the hoop part and then wrapped old t-shirt material around the edge to make it easier to grasp.

OMD! What a neat trick!

You're so clever, Ricky!

Don't think Eva can do it at all, she is a slow learner. LOL! Wait, I think Rosie has a hoop in her room : )
