I got to try out my new safety hunting dog vest! Dad was worried that some day a hunter would mistake me for a fox!! There wasn't really any danger today, but he wanted to see me in it! Nothing can keep me from looking cute!
Thank you to everyone who left such supportive, thoughtful, and kind comments on our last post! We really appreciated it! We are going to continue to mull it all over for awhile. For now, we will just keep doing things the way we have been doing them. Seems to be working out well for us!
Gotta zoom!

Ricky, you look sooo cute with your vest!
Beautiful shots!
Today was definitely an awesome day for a hike! I kept thinking how much I wanted to get out with my two (hate how work gets in the way!)
Where did you go? Looks like a nice place for a walk.
Always better to be safe than sorry! You look like a real outdoorsy kind of guy in your vest - MY kind of guy!
Ohhh loving that vest on you! I'm sure it was worth it to wear it for such a beautiful hike (safety first, right??). Glad you guys are getting some good weather! :)

Love your vest! I really need to get one of those for Chewy. People might think he's a lion or a fox! Where'd you get it?
Glad you guys got out there and took advantage of the nice weather! Looks like a great time.
Hey Ricky, does it reflect light too? So people can see you outside when it's dark? You look very gallant in it!
Looks like a wondeful walk. Do they allow hunting in the park? I would be freaked out if I had to worry about that.
Wow - lots of questions! I'll try to answer them all:
The park we went to was Clear Creek Metro Park - south of Columbus off route 33. No, there is no hunting in the park. We were just trying the vest out. My husband can't remember the name of the store where he got the vest but I have seen them online. This one is way to big for Ricky actually. We modified it a little but it still slips to one side a lot. Don't know if it is reflective but I think it might be.
Looking great there !
Ricky, you're way so cute with the vest on!
It seems it's a very interesting place to explore too. Glad you guys had a good day and fun.
The orange goes great with your black furs!

Love the vest Ricky! Orange you glad your mommy got that for you. (I know that joke was lame. Butt my mommy made me write it.)
Hiya TrickY!! What a great idea, we don't want you getting mistaken for Mr Fox - your coat is far too soft and shiny though :-) Dex and Lou xxx
I love the new vest and love your decision to just take your time and do what feels right, it is agility not heart surgery, and it is supposed to be fun so do it on your terms. Have you thought about borrowing a friends dog to run and do some agility with and then just play around with Ricky on his terms???? I have a lot of dogs and I would not mind if someone wanted to play with one of them or trial them....especially not someone as good as you are, maybe there are people like that around you and you can choose when to give Ricky small doses when he would enjoy his time and you get your fix. could perhaps be win-win and maybe with a little competition and no stress on him Ricky will find a whole new love with agility???? Just a thought...but you seem to be keeping each other busy and happy so what you are doing does sseem to be working wonderfully right now as is!!!
That is bright orange. Everyone will see you coming for sure.
Sorry for all the post at once. Mom has been on OT and is trying to catch up on everyone when she can. :)
