Weave Challenge Week 2

Here is our video for week 2 of the Weave Challenge! We did all the same exercises but now with the jump slightly angled. The recall was tough. Mom walked out about 8ft from the end of the weaves and faced me and stood still and called me to weave. The first time I thought it was a regular recall and ran by the weaves. The second time mom moved a little closer and motioned with her arm (like a directed jump in obedience). That made sense to me and I did the weaves. The third time she moved back out 8ft and I did it!

Order of exercises in the video:

1. Run past on right and left
2. Rear cross on right and left
3. Send from right and left
4. Recall

We decided to continue using a target plate as mom's throwing skills are non-existent!

Guess what was on my target plate??

Gotta zoom!

The fact that you don't run right past the weaves to get to the target plate is awesome. Oreo would never do that!

Great weaves Ricky!

I agree with Sara, I'd be running right past!

That was really good, Ricky! And I am not sure if I've mentioned this before or not but your backyard is really beautiful!

Katie would be running right past those silly weave poles for the watermelon too. After all, can't nothing get between a dog and a treat!

Hmmm....I don't know if Dare would be as excited about watermelon as you are Ricky. LOL Your mom can really run, she was blasting her way to race you to the end of those weaves. Way to go both of you!

WOW, YOu both did soooo good. I cannot believe that send Ricky can do, and I cannot believe how great you can blast past, and I am impressed with how fast and happy Rickys weaves are and they are definitely not dependent on you. Really fantastic!!! My internet was off all yesterday so when I finally got on this was a cool thing to find posted. Ricky works for watermelon....who knew???
