We made a couple videos of tricks a little while ago and haven't posted them until today. One is of snake - which I have known how to do for a long time, but mom thinks it's very relevant now considering I didn't do the weaves in my trial on Sunday. She just won't let me forget about that! And the other video is of my new trick - pray. Grandma has been asking mom to teach me this one for months. So this video is just showing the early stages of me learning it.
As far as shaping goes, we were inspired by Sian's video of teaching Side Legs Up! Cool trick and a great tutorial! We have done one short session so far and hope to try again and get some video of it soon. It is a very difficult trick for me! We have been trying handstand off and on for months now (based on another of Sian's videos) and we're still not even close. Some of these tricks will probably kind of have to wait for the bad winter weather any way. These days it's just much more fun to be playing outside!
Gotta zoom!

Oh, your pray trick is so cute Ricky! You look so angelic. I don't think Oreo would ever look angelic, even if I taught him that trick!
Congrats on winning Ludo's award!
Ooh, Ricky - you'd make a brilliant Freestyler for sure! You move so beautifully! What you call "snake" - we dancing dogs call "weaving" (coz out in the dance ring, there is no equipment, just our humans so all our moves are done around their bodies only!) and it's one of the key moves in Canine Freestyle and you do it so beautifully already! My human does a slightly different version with me coz she's so short & I'm so tall...I'd never be able to get through her legs the normal way! Hee! Hee!
Loved your pray trick! I wonder if I could learn that too? Although I'd have to find something strong enough to support my weight...certainly not my human's leg!!! ;)

Congratulations Ricky! And your weaves/snake is wonderful! Maybe praying will help you learn handstand faster! LOL!
that was an excellent snake demonstration and being very devout when food is involved is also a good thing - especially if there is an extra treat for it.

Your prayer trick was my favorite. When I taught our older dogs that trick, Penny caught on right away, but we always joked that Lucy was an atheist because she just refused to bow her head. LOL
That is one of the cutest tricks I have seen in ages.
